As every year, we had the pleasure of gathering with our farmers for the annual meeting focused on Chevryplan, the technical and economic monitoring tool dedicated to goat farming.

The morning was rich in insights, marked by very good results, practical feedback, and a very interesting intervention on long lactation.

We, then had the pleasure of visiting the EARL des Six Vallées farm. A big thank you to Damien for his warm welcome! His generosity and openness sparked valuable and engaging discussions for everyone involved.

Our farmers consistently express their appreciation for these field-based exchanges, which play a key role in jointly improving practices and enhancing the value of the sector’s expertise.

On January 28th and 29th, we had the honor of supporting the regional competition of the Young Shepherds' Ovinpiades, a unique event that showcases the future talents of sheep farming.

Passionate students from the high schools of Bressuire, St Antoine, Melle, Venours, and Montmorillon competed in 8 challenging events: NEC | Health | Mulle | Lambs | Sorted | Trimming | Genetics | Closing Trophy

Congratulations to all the participants for their dedication! Special mention to Tony Gaultier and Valentin Ramade, who will represent our region at the national finals at the Salon de l'Agriculture in Paris. We’re cheering for you!

At ALICOOP, we are proud to support the new generation of shepherds in their challenges and passion. Together, let's cultivate the future of the agricultural world!

ALICOOP held its 2024 general assembly in Limoges at the premises of the Océalia cooperative. It was a pleasant moment that reviewed the past year, highlighting key events for the company and ongoing projects.

The attendees were then able to visit the new dairy, Les Fayes. Through the tour corridor, visitors discovered the production steps of flagship products such as the Cottage Cheese des Limousins Les Fayes. After many discussions, the visitors left with a bag containing some of the dairy products to share with their loved ones for a delightful tasting experience.

The well-being of farmers is a priority for ALICOOP, just like animal welfare!

We would like to congratulate our apprentice, Alice Rousseau, for her remarkable work. She recently presented a report to a group of goat farmers who are clients of ALICOOP, summarizing the results of her one-year study. Her in-depth analysis focused on three key areas:

Measuring working time on farms by work zone using the APTIMIZ tool

Farmers' remuneration (cross-referencing with the CHEVRYPLAN WEB tool)

The balance between professional and personal life for farmers (sociological analysis)

Her study provides valuable indicators to improve the quality of life for farmers on their farms.

We are proud to share with you the initiative of our apprentice Elsie FOUASSIER who organized a day dedicated to biodiversity conservation! This initiative, carried out in partnership with the League for the Protection of Birds (LPO), aims to strengthen our commitment to environmental sustainability.

Here are some of the actions taken during this day:

• Installation of bird and bat nesting boxes
• Creation of feeding zones for insects, butterflies, and other small animals

This day was a real success thanks to the dedication of all participants. Together, we can make a difference and preserve our precious biodiversity.

Each year, our presentation of the CHEVRYPLAN synthesis to our goat farmers and partners is a must-attend event!

This year's event took place on April 18th and once again underscored the expertise and proficiency of our goat farmers in achieving both technical and economic results.

Following the presentation, attendees enjoyed a tour of our brand-new micronutrition factory and our flaked cereal production facilities.

Overall, it was a highly engaging event, facilitating warm and exclusive discussions on optimizing our farming practices and showcasing our latest advancements in feed technology.

Organized by Bleu Blanc Cœur, this Trophy rewards actors engaged in Sustainable Nutrition initiatives.

During the International Agriculture Exhibition, SICA Alicoop, represented by Ms. Séverine Brunet (PhD) Head of Nutrition, Health, and Animal Welfare, and Mr. Guillaume Piget, Ruminants Specialist Advisor, received the Sustainable Nutrition Trophy, upstream category, from the Bleu Blanc Cœur Association, represented by Ms. Vanessa Allain (Deputy Director), Mr. Pierre Weill (PhD) (President), and Ms. Marie-Eve Doyen (Sector Manager and Trophy Organizer).

This Sustainable Nutrition Trophy, upstream category, rewards actors upstream in the supply chains engaged in initiatives aiming to improve the nutritional and environmental impact of food. Bleu Blanc Cœur aimed to highlight the daily commitment of these upstream actors in animal production and animal nutrition, who are at the origin of the Bleu Blanc Cœur supply chains and enable us to have a variety of Bleu Blanc Cœur products on our plates (meat, milk, cream, flour, eggs...).

Alicoop was recognized for its commitment to Bleu Blanc Cœur through two actions in 2023. Firstly, Alicoop has been committed to the Bleu Blanc Cœur initiative for over 20 years since its inception, participating in the initial protocols of the association. The awarded Trophy notably recognizes the display of the Bleu Blanc Cœur initiative as a committed action within the ADN Approach for Human Health.

The ADN approach, Act Sustainably to Feed, by Alicoop addresses 5 sustainability challenges: Animal welfare, Biodiversity, Climate, Sustainability and attractiveness, and Human health. For each challenge, Alicoop highlights the products, services, and actions carried out over several years.

 

 

The annual seminar of the Océalia Livestock Group (Océalia, ALICOOP, Durepaire, Soleo and Lely Center de Granzay Gript) was successfully held. The focus was on the perspective of livestock markets by 2030, exploring upcoming challenges and opportunities, as well as ongoing projects.

We would like to thank our exceptional speakers, AXEL RETALI and Eon de Chezelles Beatrice, experts in the Agricultural and Agri-Food sectors at Groupe Crédit Agricole SA. Our thanks also go to Olivier Aubert, Managing Director T'RHÉA and Pascal NOWAK, key participants in this seminar, for their insightful economic analyses on the agri-agro market and sectoral development.

A day filled with energy at SCEA LE CHENE BLANC, warmly welcoming international delegations.

The international day concluded with an evening strengthening our ties with international delegations and successfully showcasing our Alicoop Pitch, especially with our exclusive innovations.

Also, a visual recap of the SCEA du Bois du Theil Open House organized by Alicoop in collaboration with partners Lely France and Bonilait Proteines SA. Approximately 200 goat breeders and industry professionals gathered to explore the latest innovations in feeding management and herd performance improvement through the alliance of feed and robotics with LELY VECTOR, the automatic Schauer mulching and the precision rearing of young goats through the QUARTIZ program.
